MAKS 2019 Airshow concludes in Moscow region

The 14th MAKS 2019 huge international air show concludes nearby Moscow tomorrow, September, 1. It was traditionally conducted in the science town of Zhukovskiy. This biennial event is among the largest of its kind in the world. 

The organiser, Rosoboronexport has invited 120 delegations from 65 countries. Aviation experts, manufacturers and businessmen gathered to attend exhibitions, roundtables and conferences featuring the latest achievements and new tech in the aviation industry.

The MS-21-300 mid-range aircraft created by the United Aircraft Corporation, was one of the most important developments presented at the expo. It was displayed to the general public for the first time. Forum guests could inspect the aircraft from the outside, and to see its passenger cabin. In addition, the fuselage of the Russian-Chinese CR929 aircraft is presented at the air show. Another new item at MAKS-2019 is the new Russian tanker Il-78M-90A in its first public display. It is the first air tanker produced in Russia in the post-Soviet period.

The contracts signed within MAKS and promising joint projects clearly confirm the interest of foreign partners in cooperation with Russia. This interest includes the realization of the ambitious ideas, that demand joining of forces, means and intellectual potential. I mean programs for creation of long-haul planes' family and space exploration. Our country is open for such mutually advantageous and effective work,” said in his greeting to the show Vladimir Putin,
