The website about Vladivostok and a number of other projects dedicated to the Far East will be launched in the near future by Japanese entrepreneur So Okamoto, RIA Novosti reports. He expects that the portal will be useful for the Japanese traveling to the Russian region with short-term tours.

So Okamoto is a professional photographer, he also organizes business projects and promotional activities. He considers his site to be a business undertaking, since he expects to work with advertisers. At the same time, the service will contain unique content - in addition to information about the sights, restaurants, hotels and souvenirs of Vladivostok, photo sessions, reports on visits to Russian families, visits to Russian banyas, etc. will appear on the website. There will also be information for entrepreneurs who would like to do business in the Far East.

Okamoto worked for six years in the Moscow branch of Nicon, he is married to a Russian lady. Having realized that the Japanese knew very little about Russia, he felt the urge to contribute to the field of humanitarian exchanges and decided that the topic of tourism would be optimal for him. While a trip to Moscow or St. Petersburg demands a long vacation from Japanese residents, a journey to Vladivostok requires a weekend or several holiday days. The city is accessible to the Japanese at the price and time of flight, the businessman noted.

The authorities of Primorye region are aware of Okamoto’s plans, but the Japanese is launching a website about Vladivostok using personal funds. He also hopes to launch a similar project on Sakhalin.

Russkiy Mir reported that the official accounts of Moscow were created in popular Chinese social networks WeChat and Weibo. The accounts will distribute useful information for Chinese tourists, especially those who plan independent trips without tourist groups.
