The voyage is timed to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of the southernmost continent of the planet by Russian sailors Bellingshausen and Lazarev, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper reports.

The Russian yacht has already made stops in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, France and other countries. There are articles and reports in European media about Russian travelers and researchers.

During stops in different countries, Russians meet fellow seafarers and residents, as well as lay flowers at the monuments in honor of Russian soldiers and sailors who died in various wars. In Antarctica, travelers will conduct research on the state of glaciers and the impact of global warming on them.
