The non / fictio№21 intellectual literature fair opens on Thursday, December 5, according to RIA Novosti. It has been held for more than two decades, and during this time it has become a significant cultural event in Russia and worldwide. 

The current literary fair has changed its location. Previously, it was located in the Central House of Artists on Krymsky Val street. This year the book festival moved to the Gostiny Dvor. The change of location made it possible to increase the number of participants, add another discussion platform and create a new section - Comics.

The festival poster includes almost five hundred events of various kinds. Among the participants of the fair are large and small publishing houses, cultural institutes, bookstores from 29 countries of the world. Visitors will be able to meet with the most interesting contemporary authors. Among them are Dina Rubina, Narine Abgaryan, Alexander Arkhangelsky and other writers. Playwrights, translators, illustrators and publishers will also take part in the fair. 

This year, Israel has become the guest of honor of the fair. According to the organizers, participants from this country are united by Timid dreams do not belong here motto. It is created by Shimon Peres, one of the founders of the state. Israeli literature will be in the spotlight on December 8. The Israeli features are also going to be shown this day.

Traditionally, the solemn ceremony of awarding the Book Community Prize has been timed to the fair. The award is aimed at supporting quality literature, it marks the winners in four categories.

The fair has prepared a large program for children and a program of illustrators called DNA Books. An antique section and a vinyl record fair are also planned within the fair.
