Russian president Vladimir Putin studied the projects of Russian and Indian schoolchildren, RIA Novosti reported. Children from both countries worked on them at the Sirius Education Center for gifted children. The Big Challenges in Sustainable Development project school started on November 29. It unites fifty people - twenty-five from each country.

Children talked about their projects, including a unique environmentally friendly nuclear energy source. In turn, the head of state recalled that the two countries were developing cooperation in the energy sector. He added that Russia was training professional personnel for the Indian nuclear industry. Vladimir Putin called India a big and great country, for which sources of clean energy were very important. The Russian participant in the program told the president about a robotic tracking system for tea plantations.

The cooperation agreement between Sirius and the Indian government organization Atal Innovation Mission, which supports talented youth, was signed a year ago. Last fall, ten Sirius graduates interned in India as part of an exchange between countries. High school students have been developing innovative projects in various areas. Participants in the joint program were selected by competition. Everyone was invited to write an essay. The program is in English. Participants work in five areas.
