Moscow enters top 5 of best cities in the world

Moscow became fifth in the World’s Best Cities - 2020 ranking, compiled by the American consulting company Resonance Consultancy. The authors of the rating called Moscow an “endlessly fascinating and dynamic metropolis”, noting the sights, culture and diverse cuisine of the Russian capital, the rating website reports.

The authors of the rating state that Moscow is the top-hashtagged city on Instagram and casts a spell on its guests. 

Experts called the Kremlin, St. Basil's Cathedral, Red Square and Gorky Park the main attractions of the Russian capital. They also noted the cultural and historical treasures of Moscow, its architecture and diverse cuisine, an abundance of restaurants, fashion boutiques. The authors of the rating emphasized that the growth of interest in Moscow and Russia is also due to political factors.

The top-5 also includes London, New York, Paris and Tokyo. The rating is based on six main categories (six Ps): place, people, product, prosperity, programming and promotion. Such criteria as safety, weather and economic conditions, the presence of attractions, restaurants and cultural sites were also evaluated. Experts in tourism and real estate helped to compile the rating.
