Russian-Indian festival held in Mumbai

The Russian-Indian festival of culture was held in Mumbai at the Rizvi College, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

Russia was represented by creative groups and amateur soloists who work at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Mumbai. Russian compatriots and elementary school students also spoke at the festival.

Indian art was demonstrated by students at the Department of the Arts at Rizvi College and other artists.

The opening of the fair of Russian products was timed to the festival. There was also an exhibition of photographs telling about the Russian capital.

Employees of the city administration, representatives of Mumbai higher educational institutions and diplomats from different countries became the guests of honor.

Rizvi College is a very famous educational institution in West India. More than five thousand students study at the faculties of engineering, law and economics. 

At the end of the holiday, the college library received books by famous Russian classics translated into Hindi and Marathi from the Russian Center for Science and Culture.
