Russian Center in Havana celebrates 10th anniversary

14.02.2020

Ten years ago, the first Russian center was created in Cuba and in Latin America as a whole. It was opened in Havana, in the Pushkin Hall of the Jose Marti National Library, the country's central and largest book depository.

Books in Russian were donated to the Russian Center by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and the Russian Embassy, and this collection continues to grow. The Russkiy Mir Foundation regularly sends to Cuba magazines and multimedia materials  in Russian and Spanish. Outdated equipment has been recently replaced there.

The Russian center is constantly working. Its collections are in demand among library visitors, both Cubans and compatriots living in Havana.
