The Russians won three of the four gold medals at the Junior World Figure Skating Championships in Tallinn. In total, the Russian juniors got eight of the twelve possible awards. The American team took the second place in the medal standing with two awards, TASS reports.

The Russian athletes were named favorites in all disciplines before the start of the competition. The predictions came true - the Russians won gold medals in the men's and women's categories, as well as in the couple competition. In only one of the disciplines, figure skaters from another team climbed to the top step: the Americans won the dance tournament.

The World Cup opened with couple competitions. The Russian duets won all the medals, Apollinaria Panfilova and Dmitry Rylov took the first place. The couple has achieved all the major awards in the junior category and plans to compete with adult duets next year.

In the men's category, the victory was won by the Russian Andrei Mozalev, his teammate Pyotr Gumennik became the third. In the women's tournament, Russia's Kamila Valieva turned out to be the strongest, Daria Usacheva brought silver to the national team, and one of the championship favorites Alysa Liu from the USA became third. In the dance competition, the Russians Elizaveta Shanaeva and David Narizhny won bronze.
