Russia becomes one of world leaders in terms of mobile technologies

Russia has been included in the top-3 countries in the number of mobile technologies employed in the economy. According to a study by the Association of Electronic Commerce, the Higher School of Economics and Google, over 470 thousand people are developing mobile applications in Russia. This is the third indicator in the world, the first two positions are taken by the USA and Japan, respectively, TASS reports.

According to experts, in the next two years, the number of specialists involved in the development of mobile technologies will more than double in the country and will amount to 1.1 million Russians. Currently, according to the study, 97% of Russian companies in traditional industries use mobile technology in their work.

The representatives of 255 Russian IT companies took part in the survey. The study's authors found that 85% percent of them are convinced that the development of mobile technologies is changing approaches to doing business.

A third of companies called mobile technology a priority in development, and in every fifth organization they declared that they owe their existence to mobile technology. A survey of 553 companies from traditional sectors of the economy showed that a third of them are convinced that mobile technologies have a positive effect on decision-making efficiency and speed up business processes.
