The Federal Air Transport Agency announced the extension of the ban on the arrival of foreign citizens in Russia until the end of July. The agency sent the corresponding telegram to airlines and airports, TASS reports.

The decision to ban entry into Russia for foreigners was made in March by the Russian government, it was due to measures to counter the spread of coronavirus infection.

Earlier it was suggested that air traffic with other countries could open in mid-July. Vice Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova noted that a decision would be made taking into account the agreements that existed between Russia and other states.

At the end of May, the Russian Foreign Ministry appealed to the Russians not to go abroad without an urgent need.
