The organizers of the Andrei Stenin competition launched an online vote, IA Sputnik reports. Internet users can choose the best photo from the short list.

Voting will continue until early August. Online voting allows the Internet audience to enter into a discussion with experts from the international jury, choosing their own favorite.

The names of the winners will be announced in early autumn. An exhibition of winners will open in Moscow. The competition also plans to launch the traditional road show of winners in world cities by the end of the year.

The shortlist includes photographers from Russia, Germany, the USA, Spain, Iran and other countries. The competition received more than 5,000 works. They were sent by participants from 75 countries from all over the planet. The new season of the competition is already the sixth in a row.

Andrei Stenin died on August 6, 2014 near Donetsk, completing an editorial assignment. The competition is created to preserve the memory of him. Its other goal is to support young photojournalists. This competition has turned into a large international platform where everyone has the opportunity to express their own opinions.
