A program aimed at providing safe tourism and recreation has been launched in St. Petersburg. It became the first city in Russia to join the SafeTravels international movement, according to the administration of Admiralteysky District of St. Petersburg.

As part of the St. Petersburg Hospitality program, city authorities will monitor the tourism industry after quarantine measures are lifted.

The joint work of authorities and entrepreneurs participating in the reception of tourists to ensure a safe stay for guests will be carried out within the framework of standards developed by the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg and agreed with the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare. The relevant agreement between the parties is already signed.

Organizations that have proven their ability to provide safe tourist experience can become participants in the movement. They will be assigned the SafeTravelsSPb mark.
