Russia resumes international flights from August 1

Russia resumes international flights, RIA Novosti reports. According to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, the planes will start flying from the beginning of next month. Flights are planned from Moscow and the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don.

The prime minister noted that the decision was made taking into account the epidemiological situation. Incidence rates and reciprocity principles were also taken into account.

Mikhail Mishustin expressed confidence that the resumption of air traffic will provide an opportunity to accelerate the return of Russian citizens  from other states.

The first flights are planned to London, Ankara and Istanbul. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova recalled that British guests must spend two weeks in quarantine. Flights to Turkish resorts will begin on August 10: Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman. The third country will be Tanzania, which is a popular tourist destination among Russian travelers.
