The Post-Primary Languages Ireland School of the Irish Department of Education will provide free Russian language classes for students in grades 5-6 in Galway and Limerick. The lessons will help schoolchildren prepare for the final state exam in the Russian language, the Nasha Gazeta newspaper reports.

These courses will be the only one to work  online in the current academic year. Classes will be held in strict observance of sanitary standards. Online registration is already open.

Last year, more than 450 people passed the exam in the Russian language in Ireland, which is almost a 100 more than a year earlier. It was noted that the number of applicants is growing every year and sets new records. According to exam participants, knowledge of the Russian language opens the door to Russian culture, as well as business and employment opportunities.
