Hollywood actor Steven Seagal wants to create a film project on the history of Russia and the United States, RIA Novosti reports. Its task should be to educate the audience in historical issues, to prevent the distortion of facts.

The actor is a special representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Russian-American humanitarian relations. He said that he intends to gather a group of specialists capable of speaking truthfully about both current and past events.

Steven Seagal hopes to create an “open-minded platform” for dialogue and discussion of ideas. Its audience can be people from different parts of the world, "so that no country can selectively change the history of the pther."

About a year ago, Steven Seagal became an ambassador for the Golden Ring of the Bosporus Kingdom tourist route. The actor assured that the status of the ambassador was entirely consistent with his educational interests and attitude to the historical heritage.
