The conference participants noted that relations between Russia and India are rooted in the depths of centuries. The peoples of the two countries are linked by strong contacts in the field of culture, science, and many other areas.

Many years later, a script was written based on the book by Afanasy Nikitin. The feature film was a joint product of the Indian film studio Nayar Sansar and the Mosfilm film studio. It was popular with the audience, the main role was played by Oleg Strizhenov.

The Russian center in Mumbai organized a screening of this film for students, teachers of the College of St. Xavier and members of the Society of Mumbai Museums in honor of the anniversary date.
