Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" held a special online meeting with freshmen from three faculties, during which the advantages of studying different foreign languages ​​at the university were presented.

Secretary General of the University, Head of the Russian Center professor Galina Shamonina and the center's staff prepared a detailed presentation on the competitive advantages of Russian as a foreign language.

Important facts about Russian as one of the official languages ​​of the United Nations and its prevalence in the world were considered. The students were surprised that more than 300 million people speak Russian, that it is an international space language, that Russian is the second most widely used language on the Internet.

They listened with interest and asked questions. During the meeting, many of them expressed a desire to study the Russian language and filled out applications. At the meeting, they received an answer to the main question: "Why should you choose the Russian language for studying at the university?"

Additional advantages, such as internships in Russia, participation in international festivals for students studying the Russian language, in numerous competitions and youth forums and meetings, in interesting events and initiatives, attracted the attention of students and played a positive role in their choice in favor of the Russian language.

At the end of the meeting, the first-year architecture student Tsvetan Mitev said that he chose Russian out of 7 foreign ones to study, "because all these advantages, together with the possibility of obtaining an international certificate in Russian, will be very useful for my future professional development. ".

As a result, the majority of full-time and part-time freshmen chose Russian for study.
