On December 4, 2020, an online meeting was held at the Russian Center of Korea University in Seoul, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Russia, in which more than 70 people participated. Presentations were made by three professors of the Department of Russian Language and Literature at Koryo University.

Professor Kim listed in his report 10 important events in relations between the two countries: the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the USSR; regular meetings of heads of state; cooperation in the aerospace industry - the flight of the first Korean cosmonaut and the Naro launch vehicle; economic cooperation - energy, logistics, Korean companies in Russia; visa cancellation agreement; installation of a monument to Pushkin and a monument to Pak Kyung Ri; the new northern policy and President Moon Jae In's “nine bridges” - gas, railways, ports, electricity, the Northern Sea Route, shipbuilding, jobs, agriculture, fishing; cooperation to resolve the DPRK nuclear problem; "Dialogue Russia - Republic of Korea" regular forums; repayment of the state loan (the "Brown Bear" project).

Professor Li introduced the participants to the history of translation of Korean literature in Russia and translation of Russian literature in Korea, dividing the period before and after the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The translation of Korean literature in Russia began with the publication of the Korean classic Scented Spring in 1894. Since then, Korean literary works of various genres have been published in Russia. In particular, the "Modern Korean Literature" series is now being published by the Hyperion publishing house. The translation of Russian literature in Korea began in 1906 and is still focused on the works of the 19th century. Therefore, now the publishers are faced with the task of translating more modern Russian literature.

Professor Tsoi talked about why he chose Russian to study, how important the study of Russia is for students, etc

Every year in April we commemorate the glorious day of April 12, 1961. It was the day when Yuri Gagarin, the first man of the new space era, was brought to near-earth orbit by the Vostok-1 spacecraft. The flight lasted just a little over an hour and a half, but it turned Gagarin into a figure that has been admired throughout the world ever since. The feat accomplished by Gagarin 60 years ago inspires us to recall the incredible connection of his story with Lolita Torres - a singer and one of the top actresses from Argentina's golden era of cinema.
In 2021, the Lake Baikal Ice Marathon was held on Baikal for the 17th time. The reporter of the Dutch newspaper de Volksrant decided to test himself and overcome 42 kilometers at -29 degrees Celsius and in a scorching wind. He was joined by other 60 athletes.
