Unusual Russian lessons held in Milan

22.12.2020

During the last week, the staff of the Russian Center of the University of Milan conducted online Russian language lessons in an unusual format. In all four groups of the second year, the lesson consisted of assignments on the New Year theme.

At the beginning of the lesson, students worked in small groups in separate video chats. They independently composed stories on the topics suggested by the teacher: Christmas in Russian, New Year's characters, a festive table, what the Old New Year is, etc. Then they presented their projects in a general video chat, followed by a poetic pause - some students prepared a video with a recording of the reading poems by Russian poets.

According to students, lessons conducted in this format develop an interest in Russian culture and support motivation to learn Russian.
