The Russian team again had an impressive victory at the Dakar rally-marathon, TASS reports. The KamAZ-master team took the entire podium in the truck section. The Russians have won this category for the 18th time.

The best result was demonstrated by the crew of Dmitry Sotnikov. He covered the track in just over 48 hours. The 2nd place was taken by the crew of Anton Shibalov. Airat Mardeev closed the top three. Andrey Karginov, who won the Dakar last year, remained behind the leaders' line, he took 7th place.

The current leader of the Russian team, Vladimir Chagin, holds the record for the number of victories in the truck classification. He climbed to the top step of the podium seven times. According to him, the victory is the result of the work of "the entire team of the team, our partners and sponsors, this is our common victory."

Fortunately, the epidemiological situation did not prevent the rally-marathon from being held. The race made it possible to raise the level of the Russian car industry and Russian sports.

The winners were congratulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He thanked the crew of the KamAZ-master, mentors of athletes and technical personnel "for the strength of character, for hard and well-coordinated work." The head of state noted that the Russian team had once again confirmed its highest level of professionalism and leadership qualities.
