Russian tennis players win ATP Team Cup

The tennis players of the Russian national team won the Cup of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP Cup), the competitions were held in Melbourne, Australia, R-Sport reports. The fans were also pleased with the Russian snowboarders, who took all the medals of the parallel slalom at the home stage of the World Cup.

Russian tennis players defeated the Italian national team in the ATP Cup final. The leading players of the Russian team, Daniil Medvedev and Andrei Rublev, occupying high positions in the world rankings, beat their Italian rivals with a solid advantage in two sets, leaving no doubt about the superiority of the Russian team.

The semi-final was more difficult for the team, in which the Russians were opposed by German tennis players. In each of the games, Medvedev and Rublev had to achieve victory in three sets, and both Russians began their meetings with defeats in the starting games.
