A video tour of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign in New York tells about the history and today's life of the temple, and also contains an interview with Metropolitan Hilarion of Eastern America and New York. The video was presented on the Russian Contour YouTube channel as part of the "Russian in America" cycle.

The cathedral is located in the center of New York, not far from Central Park and the Russian Embassy. The building, later transferred to the diocese, was acquired after the Second World War by the captain of the Life Guards Cavalry Regiment, Prince Beloselsky-Belozersky. He provided assistance to many forced emigrants from Russia.

Over the years, the building was used for émigré assemblies and for keeping the regalia of Russian regiments and units. At the moment, most of the relics have been transferred to Russia, but to this day, a particle of the ermine mantle of the last emperor, which was on it during the coronation, is kept in the temple.

Metropolitan Hilarion spoke about how the emigrants led a Russian life in New York with its cultural traditions and church customs. “The church was the center for people's lives,” he said. “Those generations have passed away, and their grandchildren and great-grandchildren are in our parish.”
