The speech of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council received support in France. Readers of the famous Le Figaro magazine agreed with his criticism of the behavior of Western countries, and also called for building a security system in Europe in cooperation with Russia, but without the participation of the United States, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Lavrov, during the pandemic, when it is required to combine efforts, a number of Western countries continue their selfish policy, seeking to use the situation to confront governments that they do not like.

French readers agreed with the Russian minister, saying that the United States and a number of other countries oppose the new multipolar world order, wishing to preserve the old model. One of the commentators spoke about the need to restructure the security system without Washington's participation and called for cooperation with the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

Another user recalled the 1999 bombing of Serbia, which destroyed international law. Some commentators voiced the opinion that the Western countries, to please the United States, chose the wrong enemy and does not get anything from this confrontation.
