Novgorod and Chinese universities to jointly train specialists in finance

Novgorod State University (NovGU) and the Chinese Yan'an University are preparing to launch a joint educational program to train specialists in the financial sector. As part of the program, students will study at both universities and receive diplomas of Russian and Chinese samples, Novgorod.ru reports.

It is assumed that students will spend two years at NovSU and Yan'an University, after which they will defend their graduation theses to receive two degrees. The first participants in the educational program are expected in Russia this year.

Veliky Novgorod will host about 40 students who have studied Russian at home and will study in it. After graduation, participants will be able to enroll in the NovSU master's program in the relevant discipline.

The Novgorod university said that the parties also spoke about the joint holding of conferences and scientific research, in addition, the possibility of organizing competitions and Olympiads for students from Russia and China is being considered. Also, employees of NovSU received an invitation to lecture at a Chinese partner university.

Yan'an University is widely recognized in China, this year the university turns 80 years old. This is the first university established by the Chinese communist authorities.  Several faculties of the university operate in Beijing.
