Soviet and Russian cartoons get over one billion views on Youtube

The number of views on the Soyuzmultfilm Youtube channel has exceeded one billion, RIA Novosti reports. It took about three years to achieve this result, said the studio.

The "Prostokvashino" series turned out to be the most popular cartoon.It scored over 35 million views. The all-favorite children's classics "Well, Just You Wait!" got 22 million views.

The top-3 is closed by the "Orange Cow" series. It has been watched 17 million times.

Among the most popular were both classic works of Soviet animators and modern cartoons, including "Lazy Vasilisa" and "How the Crocodile Cries", "Dasha and the Cannibal", "Monkeys", "Antoshka".

The Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio opened its own Youtube channel in 2018. It features a collection of modern and classic TV series and short films.
