The Tretyakov Gallery has opened the new exhibition entitled “The Moon Pool. Archive.''  The museum presents to visitors the works of Nikolai Koshelev, telling about a fictional artist who dreamed of staging a performance as part of Sergei Diaghilev's Russian Seasons. The exhibition was prepared jointly with the Triumph gallery.

The concept of the exposition is based on the story of the fictional artist Alexander Zilverhof. According to legend, he lived at the beginning of the last century and dreamed of creating a ballet based on the ideas of the German playwright Heinrich von Kleist and fragments of his biography. However, he was unable to complete his work. The exhibition project brings together about 100 exhibits: from libretto text and plot sketches to ceramic casts of characters.

Nikolay Koshelev was born in 1987 in Moscow. He was educated at the Stroganov Academy, then graduated from the New York Academy of Arts. His works are in both Russian and foreign collections.
