A huge image of the Russian coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V has graced a field in Italy, TASS reports. It appeared in one of the northern Italian regions. The author of the performance was the artist Dario Gambarin, who considers himself one of the founders of a new trend - landscape art. He turned to the genre of land art more than 10 years ago. The ground for Gambarin serves as the canvas, and the tractor serves as "paints".

His work is a stylized image of an ampoule on which the name of the drug is written in Latin letters.

The artist assured that this work was an improvisation. It appeared under the influence of the current agenda. According to the author of the work, everyone says that Sputnik V is effective and safe, and in addition, this vaccine will soon begin to be produced in Italy.

Two years ago, Dario Gambarin painted a portrait of Prince Vladimir. He timed the installation to coincide with the visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The artist has more than one such work. He created images of various world leaders. Among them are the American presidents Obama and Trump, the fighter against apartheid in South Africa Nelson Mandela, the head of the Roman Catholic Church Francis, the leader of the Cuban revolution Fidel Castro. In 2017, he also painted a portrait of Vladimir Putin. In addition, among his works are huge posters, where the artist calls for peace and justice. Gambarin also makes replicas of fine art masterpieces. Since 1993 he has been holding solo exhibitions in cities in Italy and Europe.
