The 2nd stage of the International History School for foreign students has opened in Kazan and will last until March 21. 100 full-time students took part in the program dedicated to the history of Russia, and about 5,000 participants joined the classes virtually, the Kazanskie vedomosti newspaper reports.

The International School was organized with the participation of the Russian Historical Society and Kazan Federal University (KFU) with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund. Tatarstan has become a pilot region for the implementation of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin to organize summer and winter schools for foreign students to study the history and culture of Russia.

As part of the activities of the historical school, students get acquainted with the most important pages of Russian history. Reputable Russian historians and representatives of other sciences are involved in the implementation of the project. Kazan is preparing to host an international round table on the history of the KFU astronomical observatory. The event is planned to be organized in April.
