The Podolsk Cadets film took part in the program of the GI Film Festival in San Diego. The California Film Forum is considered the largest military film festival on the west coast of the United States. The screenings will take place online from May 18 to 23, TASS reports.

The Russian film was selected for the first time in the program of the festival in San Diego. The Podolsk Cadets, created by the Voenfilm studio, tells about the bloody battles for Moscow, revealing the facts of the battle unknown to the general public.

In the center of the film drama, which was released on large screens last fall, is the heroism of the cadets who did not spare their lives to defend the Fatherland. The movie is based on real events. According to the creators of the picture, it was important for them to convey the truth about the war to the modern viewer, in particular the youth.

The festival program in San Diego traditionally includes films dedicated to the events of real wars and armed conflicts, revealing the heroism of military personnel on the battlefields. Podolsk Cadets were shown at international film festivals in Malta, London and Johannesburg.
