In one of the districts of Mexico City, a meeting of representatives of different countries living and working in Mexico took place. The international event, organized by the local authorities, was attended by representatives of the embassies of 24 countries, as well as representatives of national associations and cultural figures.

Russia was represented at the event by the founder of the Russian House in Mexico Vera-Victoria Stasyuk and singer Yekaterina Belyaeva, who sang several Russian songs as part of the event's cultural program. The performer appeared in front of the audience in a kokoshnik and a Russian sarafan, on which the image of the Cathedral of St. Basil the Blessed was embroidered.

The Russian House in Mexico is preparing to hold a festival timed to coincide with the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space. In Mexico, the festival will begin on May 10 with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. According to Vera-Victoria Stasyuk, the Latin American country, which Gagarin visited in 1961, will open the festival.
