Russian cinema evenings open in Bordeaux

Classics of Soviet cinema and new Russian films were included in the program for Russian Cinema Evenings, which will run from March 25 to June 1. The films will be shown online in Russian with French subtitles and will be shown free of charge, according to the Evenings Facebook page.

The main theme of the cycle will be "Man and Space", viewers will be able to see the picturesque places of Russia and France, get acquainted with the history and culture of Russia. The film cycle will open on March 25 with a screening of the My Uzbek Dream documentary with the participation of the French actor Gerard Depardieu.

The Spacewalker, which tells about the space expedition of Alexei Leonov and Pavel Belyaev, will mark the 60th anniversary of the flight of Yuri Gagarin. The screening will take place on April 8. On the eve of Victory Day, May 6, viewers will see the famous film Zhenya, Zhenya and Katyusha, which tells about the events of the Great Patriotic War.

The program also included films about the Kuril Islands and the outstanding choreographer Marius Petipa, who made a great contribution to the development of Russian ballet. Russian cinema evenings will finish on Children's Day with a screening of the Russian film Robo about a boy's friendship with a robot.

The action is held with the participation of the Lenfilm film studio, the Russian Geographical Society, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in France, and other Russian and French organizations.
