The Russian cartoon about Hansel and Gretel entered the top 3 in terms of the number of views on Netflix, TASS reports.

The script for the work of Alexei Tsitsilin's Hansel, Gretel and the Agency of Magic is based on the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. In the first weekend after the cartoon was released on Netflix, it took the 2nd place in terms of views in the United States and in the world. In Brazil, France, Greece, the Scandinavian countries, the picture came out on top 10.

The adventure comedy was produced by the Wizart Animation studio and the CTB film company. Netflix released it for foreign viewers on March 25. Russian viewers saw it a week earlier.

Roskino named the Wizart company one of the leaders in the export of Russian animation. The department added that international online services are very actively interested in the Russian product. The Better Than People and Epidemic series, and the Silver Skates film are also avialable on Netflix.

The plot of the cartoon tells that Gretel grew up and became one of the best agents of the top-secret Department of Magical Security. In her next case, she has to cooperate with her brother Hansel, a well-known fraudster who pretends to be a wizard and arranges colorful shows for the audience.
