The Russian Sputnik V vaccine ranked 5th in the list of coronavirus drugs most frequently mentioned by foreign media. During the year, the Russian vaccine was included in more than 465,000 articles. Another Russian development, Epivakkorona, was included in the top ten most mentioned. The rating was prepared by LexisNexis for TASS.

The results were obtained in the course of a request for registered vaccines on the basis of foreign media. The leaders were drugs created in the USA and Great Britain. Sputnik V ranked 5th, ahead of Chinese and Indian vaccines.

According to the rating, most often the Russian vaccine was mentioned in the American, British, Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese and Latin American media. Most publications talk about the widespread availability of the drug and report on the situation around the approval of Sputnik V in the European Union.

The9th place in the rating was taken by the Russian vaccine Epivakkorona, which is mentioned in more than 13,000 articles. The list also includes the Russian development Kovivak, which is still gaining recognition.
