Golden Mask festival starts its international program

The Russian Case international program of the Golden Mask theater award starts on Thursday, April 1, TASS reports. Due to the unfavorable epidemiological situation, it is held online.

Most of the shows are for international guests. The directors of major festivals, well-known producers, managers and critics are invited to the performances.

The organizers noted that Russian case was created 20 years ago, during this time the program was attended by many professionals from all over the world. Over the years of its existence, it has become a platform for dialogue between Russian theatrical art and world theater. This is a space for creative communication, exchange of information and experience.

Modern technologies have made it possible to open access to the Russian Case from different countries. Accredited participants will watch the performances on a special platform, as well as on the festival website. The program will be complemented by creative meetings and discussions, everyone can join them in social networks. The video format, according to the organizers of the festival, has its drawbacks along with huge advantages. It cannot replace live impressions, they are sure.

The Russian case 2021 program includes "Baroque" and "A Man Without a Name" performances by the Gogol Center, The Demons of Dostoevsky and The Word about Igor's Campaign by the Theater on Bronnaya, a project by Dmitry Krymov,  "Everything is Here" by the School of Contemporary Play, "Gorbachev", "The Broken Jug" and "The Tale of the Last Angel" by the Theater of Nations and many others.
