Children's drawing competition for Cosmonautics Day takes place in Latvia

Children's drawing competition has started in Latvia. Children under 15 years old can join it. The organizers are the InfoLiepaja website and the Phoenix cultural and charitable center with the support of the Russian Consulate General in Liepaja, the diplomatic mission writes on its Facebook page.

The competition is timed to coincide with the Cosmonautics Day, which is celebrated on April 12. It is dedicated to the anniversary of the first manned flight into space. This year marks the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight.

The action is aimed at drawing attention to the topic of human space exploration. The winner will be selected by audience vote. Drawings can be sent by April 16, the debriefing ceremony is scheduled for April 28.
