It is regrettable that Washington does not change its course of restraining interaction with Russia, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation. According to him, it is a pity that the US authorities interfere with the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and culture, TASS reports.

Dmitry Peskov is confident that cooperation in the humanitarian and scientific spheres is a very important area in relations between Russia and the United States. According to him, representatives of the American business community are strongly discouraged from participating in Russian forums, and scientists are likewise discouraged from working with Russian colleagues.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev recalled the importance of dialogue between the two countries in the field of science, culture and humanitarian cooperation.
