It is regrettable that Washington does not change its course of restraining interaction with Russia, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation. According to him, it is a pity that the US authorities interfere with the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of science and culture, TASS reports.

Dmitry Peskov is confident that cooperation in the humanitarian and scientific spheres is a very important area in relations between Russia and the United States. According to him, representatives of the American business community are strongly discouraged from participating in Russian forums, and scientists are likewise discouraged from working with Russian colleagues.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev recalled the importance of dialogue between the two countries in the field of science, culture and humanitarian cooperation.

Eyewitnesses have said and written a lot about the events of the Great Patriotic War, about the ordeals suffered by the people. Every family has at least one story from this tragic period in our country’s life. On the threshold of Victory Day, let us look through the memories of those who led the military operations, and read the Marshals’ memoirs.
“Sometimes I wandered about a huge park in the center of New York and, looking at the skyscrapers that bordered it, thought with cold fury about wonderful American orchestras that didn’t care about my music…” Sergei Prokofiev wrote in 1918, immediately after emigration. And that 18 years later, he would finally return to his homeland to see new openings for both life and creativity.
