About 60% of Russian graduates will be able to enroll in higher educational institutions at the expense of the budget. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin during his speech with the Address to the Federal Assembly, the website of the President of the Russian Federation reports.

He noted that no country in the world has such extensive access to free higher education. According to the head of state, it is planned that over the next two years there will be another 45,000 state-funded places. Almost two thirds of them will be opened in regional universities.

This year, hundreds of universities in the regions will receive funds to create student technology parks, business incubators, and to update the material and technical base.

Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that young Russian scientists will loudly declare themselves in new significant projects.

Schools should also become cozy and modern. By the end of 2024, at least 1,300 schools will appear in the country. Up to 16,000 buses will be purchased in 4 years.

Putin proposed to allocate additional funds to renovate cultural centers, including in the countryside. The head of state announced the creation of a presidential fund for cultural initiatives. This year, funds will be allocated for 1,500 creative teams.
