The course that Warsaw is pursuing is deliberately aimed at destroying bilateral relations with Russia, according to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry. In response to the Polish "provocative actions", Russia is expelling five employees of the diplomatic mission in Moscow, the report says. They must leave the country by May 15.

The department recalled that a few days ago, the Polish authorities decided to expel three Russian diplomats from the country. This decision was based on an "absurd" pretext - the claim that Moscow was allegedly involved in mythical cyberattacks in US.

Through the efforts of Warsaw, relations with Russia have remained frozen for several years, the report said.

The Polish authorities have staged a "shameful war" with historical memory, destroying monuments erected in honor of the soldiers who died during the liberation of the country from the Nazis, the Foreign Ministry writes. Warsaw is also actively trying to hinder Russian projects in the energy sector, a large-scale anti-Russian information campaign is being carried out, attempts are being made to rewrite history, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
