The process of vaccination among residents of Hungary against coronavirus infection continues, the Izvestia newspaper writes. According to Zsolt Nemeth, a member of the ruling Fidesz party, it is a success, and this is the merit of the Russian drug Sputnik V.

The vaccine cannot be a question of ideology, the politician stressed. Zsolt Nemeth called Sputnik V an excellent vaccine, one of the best.

Sputnik V was recognized in Hungary as the most effective and safest vaccine. It topped the ranking of drugs for coronavirus infection. Among other vaccines, Sputnik V demonstrated the best results in terms of both efficacy and safety per 100,000 vaccinated. Sputnik V was registered in Hungary on January 21. This country became the first in the European Union to officially approve the use of the Russian drug.
