The number of foreign postgraduates in Russia has increased by more than 30% in five years, TASS reports. The vast majority of them - 96% - study in higher educational institutions.

This is stated in the study "Scientific and technological policy of Russia in the post-pandemic: search for new solutions." It was conducted by specialists from the Higher School of Economics (HSE).

The authors of the report note that the flow of potential scientific personnel from abroad has been increasing since 2014. At the same time, as noted at the HSE, the level of international and internal mobility of Russian scientists remains not very high.

More than 46,000 applications to study in Russian universities have been received from foreigners this year. They expect to continue their studies according to the quota allocated by the Government of the Russian Federation every year.
