Russian Seasons online project collected 45 million views over the year

More than 150 broadcasts took place online in 2020 as part of the Russian Seasons project, they collected 45 million views. The archival recordings of the project were also in demand among viewers from Russia and other countries, according to the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.

According to the general director of the Russian Seasons Alexei Lebedev, the launch of the online service Stay Home with Russian Seasons during the pandemic confirmed the great interest in the world in Russian culture in all its diversity.

According to statistics, ballet and symphonic music have been considered the most successful Russian cultural products for many years. Leading Russian theaters tour abroad with a constant full house.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the demand for Russian culture was also confirmed by online screenings of performances and concerts. Russian cartoons and TV series collect many views on the world's leading Internet platforms.

In particular, Russian animation is considered the fastest growing creative industry. The Masha and the Bear series has gained over 55 billion views on YouTube. And this year the Hansel, Gretel and the Agency of Magic cartoon became the most popular cartoon on Netflix.
