The first rapid test, which makes it possible to detect immunity to coronavirus in 15 minutes, was developed in Russia, TASS reports. It was created by specialists from the Russian companies Rapid BIO and Avivir. The test with a probability of more than 95% allows you to determine whether a stable immunity to coronavirus infection has appeared.

Express-VAK SARS-CoV-2-IHA test shows how much the vaccine against coronavirus helped in each specific case. It also gives an answer when it is necessary to be vaccinated a second time, whether it is necessary to additionally vaccinate with a one-component version of Sputnik V.

All this information makes it possible to assess the state of population immunity at the current moment and predict its dynamics.

To carry out a test based on the classical method of immunochromatographic analysis, only a drop of blood is needed. Reagents are validated for vaccines, first of all - "Gam-covid-vac".

It is reported that, unlike many tests for antibodies, the Rapid BIO technology allows detecting IgG antibodies to the receptor-binding domain of the surface glycoprotein S SARS-CoV-2 (spike protein), that is, in fact, to give the patient an answer, immunity has arisen as a result of vaccination or not. The test will help reduce the burden on the healthcare system and will help monitor the level of population immunity.
