An exhibition of the best works of the Andrei Stenin International Competition of Photojournalism has started to work in one of the suburbs of Milan. The audience will be able to get acquainted with the most interesting photographs on Friday, May 14, RIA Novosti reports.

The exposition includes more than 70 shots taken by young photographers from all over the world. The jury recognized them as the winners. The exhibition will run until the end of June.

Restrictions aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection forced a different approach to the organization of the exhibition space. In particular, most of the photographs can be seen not only in the exhibition halls, but also in the open air. Photo stands were set up in the most popular points of the city. The most picturesque place for billboards was the shore of the city lake in a local park.

Earlier, the competition received about 4,500 applications from 5 continents and 70 countries. By tradition, the start of accepting applications is timed to coincide with the birthday of the photographer who died in 2014 during the hostilities in the Donbass. The competition was held for the 7th time, and every year thousands of photographers from dozens of countries take part in it.

It is planned that the winners' pictures will be seen by residents of almost all continents of the planet.
