Victory-kino project to unite Russia and Norway

The cultural and historical project Victory-kino will unite Russia and Norway, according to the Veteranskie Vesti newspaper.

The audience in both countries will see 5 films depicting the events of World War II. Already this month, screenings will begin in localities in northern Norway. The Murmansk region will join the project next month.

The pictures that form the basis of the new project were shown to the viewers of the Northern Character Film Forum. In particular, the film "Oblivion of the Fallen" will be presented to the public. Director from Moscow Anna Rodionova dedicated her work to those who went missing during the Great Patriotic War.

The action of the film "Nereid - Children of War" takes place in Murmansk during the war years. The main characters are children who witnessed the defense of the Arctic. The film was shot by local directors Ruslan Mavlyutov and Alexey Rogovoy.

Another director from Murmansk, Andrey Sychev, will present his work ''Finding the Future''. Its main theme was the staging of the children's theater school "Children of the Military Murman". Evgeny Bezborodov will show the film “Memory. Russians in Kirkenes ”. It tells about the caring attitude of the inhabitants of border Norway to the historical memory associated with the events of the Second World War. The work "Blockade Diary of Tanya Savicheva" directed by Alexander Efimov is dedicated to the Leningrad siege.
