The Rzhev movie was shown to students of Russian educational institutions operating in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea. The viewers were joined by residents of nearby cities, according to the website of the World Coordination Council of Russian Compatriots. The free screening of the movie, which tells about one of the most tragic pages of the Great Patriotic War, was timed to coincide with the next anniversary of the victory.

The organizers were the Russian Academy of the city of Siheung and volunteers of the Immortal Regiment of Korea.

Before the start of the film, students and teachers of the Russian Academy held the St. George's Ribbon action.

The film takes viewers back to 1942. In winter, Soviet troops suffered huge losses in the Tver direction, the Germans attacked swiftly, but the company of fighters still managed to recapture the village of Ovsyannikovo from the enemy. They needed to defend their position in the fight against the enemy, whose forces were many times greater than the defenders' forces.
