On June 11, 2021, the Russian Center of the Peking University of Foreign Languages held an event to celebrate Russia Day. The event was attended by over 30 students and teachers of the Institute of Russian Language.

Students read poems by Russian poets and sang songs loved by Russians, for example, "Katyusha" and others. Professor Guo Shufen recited Pushkin's poem "I remember a wonderful moment."

The students also took part in a quiz. Professor Dai Guiju asked 35 questions regarding the development of the Russian state over the past 30 years. For example, they were asked when Russia adopted the Declaration of State Sovereignty (Independence), what year Russia Day was establsihed, what symbols of Russia they knew, etc. The winners received certificates, books and notebooks as prizes.
