Participants of international programming contest will enter Russia without visas

Participants in the final round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) will be allowed to come to Russia without a visa. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding order, TASS reports.

The document notes that the visa-free regime will apply to the participants of the tournament, organizers and guests. 
 
Moscow will host the ICPC finals for the 1st time. The tournament starts on October, 1. It was to take place a year ago but the unfavorable epidemiological situation forced the organizers to postpone the championship for a year.

The tournament will bring together over 130 teams from 60 countries. Participants will gather at the Moscow Manege. Over the course of several days, they will deal with software development problems.

The ICPC took place for the 1st time in the late 70s of the 20th century. it is considered to be one of the most prestigious IT team tournaments.
