Russia is helping Laos fight the coronavirus pandemic, TASS reports. On Wednesday, September 22, a cargo of humanitarian aid was delivered to the country. About 30,000 doses of the Russian Sputnik Light vaccine were also on board of the plane.

Humanitarian assistance was provided on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation. The government of Laos approached the Russian authorities. The country continues to record an increase in the number of cases of coronavirus infection.
