RT Projects win six gold awards at New York Festivals

Russian TV channel RT has won six gold awards at the New York Festivals, RIA Novosti reports. In total, the channel has scored 10 awards.

A recreation of the historical photograph, which depicts the hoisting of the Victory Banner over the Reichstag, became the best in the Documentary / Information Program Promotion category.

The VR movie Lessons from Auschwitz dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp by Soviet troops won gold in the Video Art & Experimental Film, Production Design / Art Direction and Innovation  categories.

The video series The War: children’s drawings in VR animation received gold in the Animation category and bronze in the Use of technology category.

In total, RT was nominated in 18 categories of the competition, and won nine awards – two gold, four silver and three bronze.
